These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern the use of our website https://rentgophuket.com/ (the “Website”) and the car rental services provided by RentGo Phuket. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before confirming your rental.
1. General Information
1.1. RentGo Phuket is a local car rental provider based in Phuket, Thailand.
1.2. All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by our team.
1.3. By using our services, you confirm that you meet the driver, age, and document requirements set out in these Terms and by Thai law.
1.4. These Terms apply to rentals starting in Phuket and intended for use within Thailand only, unless we give written permission to travel elsewhere.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1. Reservations can be made via our Website.
2.2. We operate on a no deposit / low deposit model for most vehicle classes. However, for some vehicles, high-season dates, or long-term rentals, a refundable security amount may still be required at pickup.
2.3. Payment can usually be made in THB on arrival (cash) or by debit card / local card. We do not require an international credit card for the majority of rentals, but we reserve the right to request one if the risk profile of the booking changes (very new driver, 1-day rental, late-night pickup, premium car).
2.4. Prices normally include local tax, standard mileage terms, and the legally required compulsory motor insurance (Por Ror Bor) provided with the vehicle by the owner/supplier. This covers bodily injury to third parties but does not cover all vehicle damages.
2.5. Optional extras (child seat, second driver, full cover / CDW, late drop-off, delivery to distant areas) may be added at an extra daily or one-time cost.
3. Driver Requirements
3.1. Drivers must usually be at least 21–23 years old. Some vehicle categories (SUV, 7-seater, premium) may require a minimum age of 25.
3.2. A valid driving licence must be presented at pickup, together with passport. If your licence is not in English or is issued outside ASEAN/EU/UK, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required according to supplier rules.
3.3. Drivers should have held a driving licence for at least 1 year (sometimes 2–3 years) depending on vehicle class.
3.4. All additional drivers must be declared at the time of booking or pickup and may be subject to a daily fee.
3.5. Only drivers listed on the rental agreement are permitted to drive the vehicle.
4. Insurance and Liability
4.1. All vehicles in Thailand must have compulsory motor insurance (Por Ror Bor) – this is usually included with the car and covers injuries to third parties according to Thai law. It does not cover all damages to the rental vehicle.
4.2. We may offer or recommend additional voluntary insurance / full cover / CDW to reduce your financial responsibility in case of accident, theft, or damage. The scope, excess, and exclusions will be clearly stated at booking or pickup.
4.3. Insurance does not cover: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, reckless or off-road use (including driving on beaches or flooded roads), use by an undeclared driver, or violation of Thai traffic laws.
4.4. Damage to tyres, rims, glass, interior, underbody, loss of keys, and towing may be excluded from standard coverage – check your individual rental conditions.
4.5. In case of accident, you must immediately contact us and the insurer/police and follow the instructions in the vehicle documents.
5. Vehicle Use
5.1. The vehicle must be used only within Thailand and mainly on public roads in good condition. Trips to remote areas, national parks, or by ferry to islands (e.g. Koh Yao) may require prior approval from us and/or the vehicle owner.
5.2. The vehicle must not be used for illegal activities, racing, towing, or commercial passenger transport (Grab, taxi) unless expressly agreed in writing.
5.3. Smoking and transporting pets is allowed only if agreed in advance; otherwise a cleaning fee may apply.
5.4. The renter is fully responsible for all traffic and parking fines, police penalties, and tolls issued during the rental period.
5.5. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited under Thai law and voids insurance coverage.
6. Fuel and Mileage
6.1. Our standard fuel policy is “same-to-same” – you return the car with the same fuel level as received.
6.2. If the car is returned with less fuel, a refueling charge may apply.
6.3. Standard mileage terms will be shown in your booking. Exceeding agreed mileage or using the car for long inter-province trips without notice may result in extra fees.
7. Pickup and Return
7.1. Pickup and return locations include Phuket International Airport (HKT), hotels and villas in Patong, Karon, Kata, Kamala, Bang Tao, Rawai, Chalong, Phuket Town, and other agreed places.
7.2. Vehicles must be returned at the agreed date, time, and place. Late returns may incur additional daily/hourly charges.
7.3. The renter must return the vehicle in the same condition as received, subject to normal wear and tear. Excessive sand, mud, or smell (smoke, food, pets) may result in cleaning fees.
8. Cancellations and Modifications
8.1. Cancellations made at least 48 hours before pickup are generally free of charge, unless otherwise noted in your confirmation.
8.2. Late cancellations or no-shows (especially airport meet-and-greet) may be subject to a fee to cover preparation and delivery costs.
8.3. Modifications (dates, vehicle type, extras, pickup point) are subject to availability and may affect the rental rate.
9. Responsibility and Limitations
9.1. RentGo Phuket is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, missed flights, hotel nights, ferries, or tours caused by traffic, accidents, weather, or events beyond our control.
9.2. Roadside assistance is provided; in case of accident or breakdown, contact us immediately at the number shown in your booking.
9.3. You are responsible for the vehicle until it is checked in by our representative.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Thailand, with Phuket as the primary venue, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer law.
